Amit Shah: Does Rahul Gandhi think of human rights of soldiers?
BJP president Amit Shah on Wednesday criticised Rahul Gandhi, asking if the Congress president ever thinks about human rights of soldiers who get killed. He pledged that the BJP government would have zero tolerance for terrorism and would remove 40 lakh intruders from Assam and the the north-east.
At a rally in Tasgaon (Sangli) on Wednesday, Shah asked, “Does Rahul not believe in human rights of our soldiers who get killed?” He added, “When we return to power, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we will ensure that every intruder is removed from the country.”
National security and farmers’ issues dominated Shah’s 20-minute speech at a rally for BJP candidate and sitting MP Sanjay Patil. “India has become the third country after the US and Israel to take revenge for attacks from enemy land. During UPA’s tenure, enemies would cut off heads of our soldiers. Our policy is to respond to such attacks with bombs,” he said.
Shah criticised Gandhi and NCP chief Sharad Pawar for seeking evidence of the air strikes. “They were silent when National Conference leaders said there will be two prime ministers in India,” he said.
