21 contenders get notices for not giving expense details
PUNE:Altogether 21 candidates out of the total 93 candidates contesting the elections in Pune district’s four parliamentary constituencies — Pune, Baramati, Shirur and Maval — have been served notices by the Pune district election department for non-submission of expenditure account after the first round of checking of accounts.

“Following receipt of the notice, candidates are expected to submit the details within 48 hours or two days and if they do not then they are again served the second notice after which an FIR is filed by the returning officer (RO) against the candidate,” said Relekar.
He said that mostly the main candidates had filed the expenses details, while those contesting as independent candidates had not filed their expense details.
Once the RO receives the expenses detail, the same is uploaded on the election website for public viewing.
Election officials told TOI that all the details have been uploaded on the websites.
The CEO website provides links to websites of all DEOs, where one can find the expenditure information.
