Shivraj Chauhan is lying, farm loans of even his kin got waived: Rahul Gandhi

BHOPAL: With just two more phases of polling to go in the Lok Sabha polls, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday sharpened his attack on BJP, saying PM Narendra Modi "looks depressed because he knows he has lost", and that former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan's relatives have also benefited from the agri loan waiver.
Seeking to the take the wind out of BJP's allegation that Congress hasn't kept its loan waiver promise, Rahul said at a rally in Gwalior: "Kamal Nath ji, tell everyone who among Shivraj Singh Chouhan's relatives have benefited from the Congress government's farm loan waiver scheme."
The CM walked over to Rahul and spoke into the microphone: "Shivraj Singh Chouhan's brother Rohit Singh Chouhan and his uncle's son Niranjan Singh's loans have been waived.And Shivraj says no loans have been waived." Rahul then said, "In government records, it is mentioned that his brother's loan has been waived.
They applied for the waiver, it was waived and Shivraj claims no loan has been waived. Shivraj ji, please do not lie so much."
