Punjab ex-ADGP joins Congress
Gurinder Singh Dhillon, a former Punjab Police ADG, joined Congress on Tuesday, six days after resigning from IPS ahead of his retirement due in a few weeks. With Congress having announced candidates for 12 of the state’s 13 LS seats, speculation is rife that Dhillon may be fielded from Ferozepur.
Dhillon joined Congress in Delhi in the presence of AICC state in-charge Devender Yadav. He expressed admiration for Rahul Gandhi and recalled that he first met Rahul during the Punjab leg of his “Bharat Jodo Yatra”.
