A DYFI worker has cast bogus votes in booth numbers 66 and 69, he said.

"DYFI activist Ranjit cast two votes in two booths. His name is recorded as Ranjit Kumar in one identity card and P Ranjith in another. But the photographs are same. There was no web casting facility in these booths," said Kallar.

We suspect that he created forged card with the help of the officials, Kallar added. "The UDF has filed a complaint with the district collector with records," he said.

UDF leaders allege that Tamil Nadu natives have cast double votes in border areas of

Idukki district

, which will affect the final verdict. The votes were cast in favour of LDF, they said.

He also alleged that large-scale bogus voting has taken place in Udumbanchola assembly constituency.

"To prevent the double voting, we need to verify the identity cards of those living in border areas," said Kallar.

Meanwhile, power minister M M Mani rejected the allegation raised by the UDF about the bogus voting in Idukki. "His comments regarding the bogus votes in Idukki parliament constituency do not deserve any serious reply," he said.
