Rahul Gandhi’s defeat will end dynasty politics: Piyush Goyal
ALAPPUZA: Union Minister Piyush Goyal came down heavily on Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday and said Kerala does not deserve a ‘discarded and second-hand material’. He added that Rahul would be defeated in Wayanad.
Speaking at an NDA election rally at Kayamkulam, he accused Rahul of choosing Wayanad out of fear of defeat in Amethi. “He will suffer defeat both in Wayanad and Amethi. The defeats will also end dynasty politics in India. Rahul has lost the confidence of people of India. In the next election he will have to search for a constituency in some other country,” Goyal said.
The minister, in an apparent reference to Sabarimala, added that NDA would ensure constitutional protection for the faith and belief of people. “Kerala is a land of peace and harmony. CPM and Congress are following an agenda to destroy its culture. The two parties are acting like two sides of the same coin. One day they will stand together, another day they will fight each other,” Goyal said.
He accused CPM and Congress of following double standards in issues like women empowerment. “They did not stand with the Centre even on triple talaq issue,” he said.
