Now, a web app to make poll predictions

: Voters can now make predictions online and air their own hunches on who is going to win the

polls. Keralabased entrepreneurs have joined hands to launch a web app ‘india2019.vote’, which allows users to sign in and make predictions. Soon after its launch, thousands have signed in and made their predictions. The app was developed by Gautham and Bodhish Thomas from

Startup Village

in Kochi; Vinu Varghese from Thrissur; and Jaleel from

Kozhikode

.


“The app gives the user a chance to see if you have an election pundit in you! Make a total of three predictions about the winning coalition, number of seats and the Prime Ministerial candidate at india2019. vote and we will tell you how well you performed when the results are out on May 23. You can make your predictions public or keep them anonymous, it’s up to you,” said Bodhish Thomas, a developer at the Start-Up Village collective.

“Many of the sharpest election pundits among us don’t get a chance to showcase their understanding of the polls. The purpose of the app is to give the millions of voters a facility to exercise their analytical ability and predict the election results from their homes and offices,” said Gautam, CEO of the Startup Village collective.
