ROHTAK: On Sunday, the supporters of BJP leaders Shamsher Kharkhara and Balraj Kundu, the ticket aspirants from Meham assembly constituency, exchanged blows in chief minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar rally at Bahu village of the district.
The police had to use force to bring the flaring tempers under control in the pandal set up for CM Khattar Sankalap rally.
According to sources, Kharkhara, who unsuccessfully contested assembly poll from Meham constituency and Kundu, his archrival, were present on the stage along with other BJP leaders who were delivering speeches when suddenly the supporters of both leaders started hurling slogans in support of their leaders.
The supporters of Kundu (zila parishad chairman) were sitting in the front row and had been shouting slogans in support of him.
