CHANDIGARH: A day after the EC ordered re-polling at Faridabad booth after a BJP polling agent was arrested for allegedly trying to influence voters at a polling booth in Palwal, AICC general secretary and in-charge of Haryana affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad on Tuesday wrote a letter to the poll panel.
In his letter to the Election Commission of India (ECI), he sought the registration of a criminal case against Haryana minister Manish Grover, who allegedly intimidated voters and attempted booth capturing in Rohtak on May 12.

Congress’s Rohtak candidate Deepender Singh Hooda, who is seeking re-election for a fourth term, had on Sunday accused Grover, who is BJP’s Rohtak MLA, of intimidating voters.
Police had arrested historysheeter Ramesh Lohar and his two associates, who were allegedly accompanying Grover when they were confronted by former MLA B B Batra.
Azad said that a video footage of the incident and seizure of weapons from the accused clearly showed that Grover was patronizing Lohar.
In a related development, Palwal MLA and former minister Karan Singh Dalal has urged the chief electoral officer of Haryana and the EC to probe the role of former Faridabad district election officer.
