Haryana: LSP-BSP names two more nominees

KURUKSHETRA: The Loktantra Suraksha Party (LSP)-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) alliance on Saturday announced candidates from Kurukshetra and Sirsa Lok Sabha constituencies.
With this, the tie-up has announced candidates from eight of Haryana’s total 10 Lok Sabha constituencies. LSP chief Raj Kumar Saini and BSP state president Prakash Bharti said they had fielded Shashi Saini from Kurukshetra and Janakraj Atwal from Sirsa (reserved).
Both Saini and Atwal belong to BSP.
On April 2, the alliance had announced six candidates — BSP’s Naresh Saran from Ambala (reserved), Mandhir Singh Maan from Faridabad, Surender Sharma from Hisar, Pankaj Chaudhary ffrom Karnal and Kishan Lal from Rohtak, and LSP’s Ramesh Rao Pilot from Bhiwani-Mahendergarh.
The two parties are yet to name candidates from Sonipat and Gurgaon. Atwal is an advocate, while Saini holds a postgraduate in arts from Kurukshetra University. She earlier unsuccessfully contested state assembly elections from Ladwa and Thanesar seats. Alliance leaders said candidates from the remaining two seats will be announced in two-three days.
