Bishnoi misses bus in Hisar as Azad declares Tanwar candidate from Sirsa
HISAR: Even as Kuldeep Bishnoi avoided boarding the ‘unity bus’ of the Congress in his hometown, party’s state affairs in charge Ghulam Nabi Azad said that state president Ashok Tanwar would be the party nominee in Sirsa. Azad also said that six-seven candidates would be same as in the 2014 parliamentary polls.
During the ‘Parivartan Yatra’ of the Congress in the state, Azad was interacting with mediapersons in the bus, which reached Hisar on Wednesday night and visited Fatehabad and Sirsa, Jind and Kaithal on Thursday. “In Sirsa we already have our state president Ashok Tanwar,” he said when asked about the party nominee. Tanwar had fought from Sirsa last time but lost.
Former chief minister Bhupinder Hooda’s son Deepender was the only Congress candidate. Only Rohtak seat is with the party out of the total 10 in Haryana. “Six-seven of our candidates will be same as the last time,” Azad added.
During the bus journey, Hooda, Tanwar, Rajya Sabha member Kumari Selja, former minister Savitri Jindal, former MP Naveen Jindal, former minister Sampat Singh were present.
