JJP leader and Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala said coordination committee of the two parties would decide on the division of seats and the candidates in the next 72 hours.
Naming the alliance, ‘Aam-Jan,’ Chautala said the first word of AAP is Aam and that of JJP is Jan, so the alliance is ‘Aam-Jan.’ “Jhadu (AAP symbol broom) and chappal (JJP symbol) will eradicate dirt and thorns from Haryana politics and would create an educated, healthy, safe and well-employed Haryana. He said 56% of voters are young — in the age group of less than 45 — and Haryana is the youngest state.
The Hisar MP said the two parties had come together to defeat the Congress and the BJP and would lay the foundation of a young and new democracy. He also described Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal as his elder brother.
The coalition, claimed Chautala, is completely capable of defeating both the Congress and BJP in Haryana. “When JJP and INLD were united in the last parliamentary elections, INLD candidates had received around 25% votes and the AAP had received 5% votes. With both of us joining hands, we are now capable of defeating the BJP,” he added.
Representing AAP, Delhi minister and AAP Haryana incharge Gopal Rai said although JJP was set up just five months ago, in the Jind byelection, JJP and AAP had proved that their alliance is the only one capable of defeating BJP.

AAP state president Naveen Jaihind said the BJP had poisoned Haryana with casteism and let the state burn. He too added that the Congress is incapable of uprooting the BJP from Haryana.
