‘Some politicos conspiring to finish off MGP’
PONDA:
“Only those who are incapable of winning the election resort to such conspiracies. Making such conspiracies and resorting to anti-democratic actions just because one enjoys power is a new norm that has come into existence in Goa. But the judgement has demonstrated that
Dhavalikar was speaking to the media after the returning officer rejected objections raised by BJP and other rivals against his nomination Friday evening.
“It’s a first step to my victory in the bypoll,” Dhavalikar said. “It was their agenda to politically eliminate MGP from the state, but unfortunately for them, it didn’t work. It was a big conspiracy against us,” he said.
They are the same poliicians who know that they can’t win the electoral battle and hence they tried to get me eliminated from the race, Dhavalikar charged.
Dhavalikar junior also suggested that politicians should not indulge in such tactics simply because they are in power.
Stating that Goa is going through a bad patch politically, he said “some evil-minded politicians” are at work and urged people to be wary of them.
“People need to be wary of these kind of politicians. I am sure the electorate will take an appropriate decision against them when they go to vote on April 23,” the MGP president said.
Dhavalikar said for some time now, these same persons have gone all out against the regional party.
He also alleged that these politicians are trying to cease existence of the oldest regional political outfit and said that none could end the existence of the MGP.
