Shiv Sena: Will start mining or give financial support

: Resumption of mining activities is among the key poll assurances given by Shiv Sena in its manifesto released on Tuesday. Significantly, the party has assured minimum financial support for mining dependants through the Centre, in case the industry gets into troubled waters.“Shiv Sena has always stood by mining dependants and will continue to do so. Our main assurance for this election is to ensure that mining resumes,” Rakhi Prabhudesai Naik, party state vice-president and South Goa candidate for

polls told reporters.The party has also assured complete protection to the Mhadei from any kind of diversion. The cases pending before the Supreme Court and Mhadei Water Disputes Tribunal would be disposed of.
