No sale of liquor from April 21-23
PANAJI
: To ensure free and fair elections, the Goa government has prohibited the sale of alcohol for three days starting from 6pm on April 21 till April 23 midnight.Goa is going to polls in the third phase for its two
Lok Sabha
constituencies on April 23. Bypolls in three constituencies will also be held on the same day.liquor
will be served’ on the said days.Bars and liquor shops in Pollem and Loliem in Canacona taluka (South Goa), and Surla village in Sattari taluka (North Goa) which falls within the range of 5km from the border of Karwar and Belagavi in Karnataka, will remain shut from 6pm on April 16 till 6pm on April 18.
14 constituencies of Karnataka will have polling in the second phase on April 18, while rest of the 14 constituencies will vote on April 23.
