Dhavalikar can’t win in Shiroda: Minister
PANAJI
:PWD minister Deepak Pauskar
has said that the people of Shiroda have never elected a person from outside their constituency as MLA, and hence,MGP president Pandurang Dhavalikar
has no chance of winning the byelection there later this month.“Every legislator elected from Shiroda, irrespective of his party ticket, has always been a local,” said Pauskar, who quit MGP a week ago and joined BJP. He stated that apart from repairing and building temples in Shiroda, no development work was done by Dhavalikar.
Dhavalikar, who contested and lost from Priol in the 2017 election, began nurturing the Shiroda constituency over six months ago. When Congress MLA
Subhash Shirodkar
resigned and joined BJP in October last year, Dhavalikar intensified his work.Popular from Business
