‘BJP manifesto is unfulfilled promises of ’14’
PANAJI
: Reacting to the BJP’s manifesto for the 2019Lok Sabha
elections, Congress said that rather than outlining its vision for the nation, thesaffron
party had come out with a list of its unfulfilled promises made in 2014.“When you look at it (BJP manifesto), it is a list of things in the last manifesto which are not complied with, only jhumlabazi,” said Congress media convener Trajano D’Mello. Demonetization, the crackdown on black money, Smart City Mission, Swachh Bharat and fuel prices were some of the false promises made by BJP, Congress said. D’Mello told reporters at the party headquarters that BJP’s manifesto was aimed at increasing the number of poor people in the country.
Calling demonetization the ‘biggest jhumla’, Congress said demonetization had led to loss of lives, jobs and economic growth but the Rs 80 lakh crore of black money that Modi promised to bring back from foreign countries never materialized. “He said funding terrorists would be curbed but the greatest attack that took place in Pulwama shows that the
chowkidar
is sleeping,” he said.Popular from Business
