MLA Rajesh Patnekar are confident that BJP will get a majority in both

Lok Sabha

polls and byelections. However, Sakhali municipal council chairperson and Congressman Dharmesh Saglani has claimed that Congress will get more votes than the last parliamentary election.


Sawant told reporters that mining-affected segments have voted in BJP’s favour as they know that the mining issue will be solved only by BJP. Congress functionary Saglani, however, claimed that as per his survey Congress will get around 10,000 votes in Sakhali in comparison to the last election’s 5,500 votes.

BJP’s Patnekar and Vallabh Salkar claim that BJP will get at least 16,500 votes in Bicholim. Bicholim block Congress president Meghshyam Raut is of the opinion that the votes polled in favour of Congress will be satisfactory.
