Chhattisgarh creates record, no re-polling for the second time in state

Polling for general elections in Chhattisgarh was held in three phases on 11, 18 and 23 April in as many as 23,732 polling booths. However, re-polling has not been conducted in any of the polling booths. Besides, the election commission has also agreed that re-polling will not be conducted in any of the polling booths across the state.

Meanwhile, no situation of re-polling was created at any polling booth during the state assembly elections 2018 which concluded in two phases on November 12 and November 20 in 90 assembly constituencies. This is the first time after the formation of the Chhattisgarh state that not a single polling booth required re-polling during both state assembly elections 2018 and general elections 2019, said the release.

said that it is a matter of pride for the state that no complaints have been received from across the state regarding the voting process. Sahoo thanked all the voters, political parties, polling personnel, election officers, security personnel and paramilitary personnel involved in the election process in this regard.
