CHANDIGARH: Over 20 gurdwara heads as well as Chandigarh Samuh Gurdwara Prabandhak Sangathan, which manages 45 gurdwaras, including the prominent ones in Sectors 8 and 34, and six Sikh organisations of the city have extended support to Pawan Kumar Bansal, Congress Lok Sabha candidate. Bansal was also felicitated with a saropa at a function held in Sector 27.
The gurdwaras that have extended support include Sector 19 D, 8, 20, 22, 23, 27, 29, 34, 37, 38, 40, 42, 30, 7, 3, 28. Village gurdwaras like those in Maloya, Sarangpur and Hallomajra, have also extended support to Bansal.
At the felicitation function, Bansal said he is committed for the overall development of City Beautiful. If elected as an MP, he will ensure development of every section of society, he added.
