Members of both federations were of the view that even though the political parties would not be allowed to use their platform for their campaign but the idea to call them in their meetings was to know the road map which they had for the city, which required an upgrade.
Foswac listed out the issues which they want to raise with the MP of the city. Baljinder Singh Bittu, chairman of Foswac, said that there was a need of a hospital on the lines of PGI to lessen the burden on it and upgrading of infrastructure by having more flyovers to ease out traffic.
Besides, they also raised the issue of bad state of city roads. The upgrading of seats in engineering and health institutions is another issue they will be raising as the city population has increased. He said that the candidates would have to respond to these and state their plans on the issues.
Hitesh Puri, chairman of Crawfed, said those issues related to the central government would be asked from the candidates.
He said that they were chalking out a list of issues which they would raise with the MP.
