During the meeting, a presentation highlighting the components and functioning of EVMs and VVPAT machines, and the roles of presiding officers and polling officers was delivered. The first round of training of polling personnels, sector officers, BLOs micro observers, nodal officers have already been done. The second round of training will begin from April 22.
The chief electoral officer stressed that the training should focus on imparting role specific information to each officer. Every personnel associated with the election process must be well versed with the guidelines and instructions of the Election Commission of India, he said.
