PATNA: The leader of opposition in Bihar assembly and senior RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Monday termed PM Narendra Modi’s recent remark against former PM Rajiv Gandhi as “atrocious.”
“We had not expected that PM will stoop to such a low level and give such an atrocious statement for a former prime minister who sacrificed his life for the nation,” Tejashwi told reporters here.

Tejashwi also claimed that the opposition’s grand alliance in Bihar would register victory on all five Lok Sabha seats that went to polls in the fifth phase on Monday. “From everywhere we are getting reports of large scale voting in favour of the Grand alliance candidates. We are sure of winning majority of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar and ruling JD(U) will face a major setback when results will be out on May 23,” he said.
Former deputy CM Tejashwi also claimed that there would a political earthquake in the state after Lok Sabha election results would be out on May 23. He said as the ruling JD(U) would face humiliating defeat on many seats its president Nitish Kumar would resign from the post of CM on May 23 or a few days later.
