Maoists call for bandh in Bihar on Tuesday to protest PM's Gaya visit

RANCHI: The

Bihar Regional Committee

(BRC) of

CPI Maoists

has called a 24 hour bandh in Magadh zone of Bihar beginning Monday midnight. The bandh has been announced to protest the proposed Gaya visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection with the upcoming parliamentary election.



Describing the BJP-led government and Centre as RSS backed communal dispensation of imperialist rulers the Maoists have expressed strong resentment to the incidents of mob lynching in the name of cow protection.

by blowing up his house in Bodhibigha village under Dumaria PS of Gaya district on March 27. "Singh represents the oppressor ruling class and highly communal mindset of the RSS brigade which has targetted people of religious minority groups including the Muslims and Christians and our action against him will not remain limited to blowing up his house. In the days to come our party along with armed villagers will confiscate his movable and immovable property to distribute it among the villagers," he said.

The Maoists have described action against Singh as a token of protest against the "fascist rulers '. Manas said that BJP at Centre has been fooling people in the name of conducting peaceful elections. " There were a series of attacks on revolutionary forces in Kashmir, Manipur and Assam ever since the government was voted to power but the attacks increased in every form since 2018 when the government launched its secretive mission Samadhan, aiming to mute all voices of rebellion by 2022," a letter issued by the BRC read.

Manas said the so called idea of peaceful parliamentary election for 17th Lok Sabha is a farce because if the government was so convinced of peoples voluntary participation it wouldn't have deployed CRPF and other armed para military forces. "These deployments are meant to pull out people from their homes to force them on gun point to cast vote whereas public in general are tired of the system and are voluntarily standing with us to support our call for poll boycott," Manas added.

The Maoists have said that the Modi government will bear the brunt of bloodbath if the para military forces use undue methods to pull out people for participating in the electoral process.
