Karikalan B (Naam Tamilar Katchi), Gowtham D (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam), Murugan P (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam), Vinayagamoorthy M (Bahujan Samaj Party), Anandakumar P M (Thakkam Katchi), Sakthivel S (Tamizhaga Vaazhvurimai Katchi), Suresh P (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam), Ayyanar E (Independent), Sathyaraman P (Independent), Sivakumar R (Independent), Suresh C V (Independent), Thangarasu N (Independent), Murali M (Independent), Radhika S (Independent), and Vetrivel G (Independent) — 15 candidates contesting from Vanur in Tamil Nadu's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Vanur is a Scheduled Caste (SC) reserved constituency. In 2021, Chakrapani M of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won the seat. Chakrapani M had also won in 2016. the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in Vanur in 2026.
