M. Sekar (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam), S.Thirumurugan (Naam Tamilar Katchi), R. Vaithilingam (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam), K. Arvind (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam), C. Gunasekaran (Thamizh Desiya Munnetra Kazhagam), M. Selvaraj (Party for the Rights of Other backward Classes), A. Ajeshkannan (Independent), M. Kanagaraj (Independent), and T. Vijayakumar (Independent) — 9 candidates contesting from Orathanadu in Tamil Nadu's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Orathanadu is a General constituency. In 2021, Vaithilingam, R. of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won by a margin of 28,835 votes. The 2016 winner was M. Ramachandran of the DMK. the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in Orathanadu in 2026.
