Chennai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's next visit in Tamil Nadu could be to Kanyakumari or Coimbatore, BJP state president Nainar Nagenthran said on Thursday, adding that dates are yet to be finalised. This will be Modi's fourth visit to TN this year after rallies in Madurantakam, Madurai and Trichy.
Nagenthran said several national leaders will campaign in the state, including Union minister Piyush Goyal, who is the BJP's in-charge for Tamil Nadu, along with party president Nitin Nabin and other senior leaders. Leaders from allied parties, including Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan, are also expected to join the campaign, he said.
On TVK leader Aadhav Arjuna's claim that TVK was offered 90 seats for an alliance, Nagenthran said no such discussion took place and those claims were baseless.
