AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday announced the candidature of a history sheeter, also accused of a police officer's murder, as his party's candidate from Sherghati seat in Gaya district in the upcoming polls. Sherghati will vote on Nov 11, the second and last phase of polling in Bihar. Shan Ali, out on bail, is accused of killing an SHO in Gaya in Oct 2016. He faces dozens of cases related to murder and other serious offences. Owaisi hailed Shan Ali as a "crusader against injustice".
