VIJAYAWADA: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan asserted that the strength of the party should not be underestimated as change has begun and it will be reflected in the assembly. On Sunday, Pawan Kalyan held a meeting with MLA and MP candidates at the party headquarters in Mangalagiri, and advised against questioning the strength of the Jana Sena as it has youth supporters who follow the party without media support, money or muscle power.
Kalyan asked party candidates to focus on public issues instead of worrying about poll results. “I don’t have any fear of defeat or tension regarding the outcome of the election. But I always think what we have fought for a change. Women have shown their strength for a change. They came and exercised their franchise in the election leaving aside whether the party candidates win or lose,” he said.
Interacting with candidates, Kalyan said he is moving forward with long term goals and plans, and not political positions or seats.
“How many seats the party won was not important, how much voting percentage we achieved and how many voters are convinced by our party ideology and preparing them for change,” said Kalyan. He advised the candidates to concentrate on local issues in view of the local body elections.
