TNPSC cancels Group II A mains in Chennai after technical glitch
CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission on Sunday cancelled the Group II A main examinations due to a technical glitch.
About 600 candidates were wrongly allocated exam centres due to a software error, officials said. About 1,000 candidates turned up for the exam while the college had arrangements only for 300 candidates.
More than 9000 candidates were scheduled to appear for the mains exam for 1000 vacancies in assistant and revenue inspector and other posts.
"The revised exam dates will be announced after two weeks. Due to this error, the Group II Tamil eligibility test scheduled in the afternoon also postponed, " said TNPSC controller of examinations A Shanmuga Sundaram.
Candidates protested after they were not allowed to write TNPSC Group II A mains exam due to a technical glitch in front of DG Vaishnav College in Chennai on Sunday.
