The MHT CET 2026 examination was conducted in two phases. The first phase for PCB candidates was held from April 21 to April 26, while candidates from the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) group appeared for the exam between April 11 and April 20.
The second phase was conducted in May. PCB examinations were held on May 10 and May 11, whereas PCM examinations took place from May 12 to May 21.
Earlier, the CET Cell released the final answer key for both PCB and PCM groups on May 30, 2026, after reviewing objections raised by candidates.
Under the MHT CET marking scheme, candidates received one mark for every correct answer in Physics and Chemistry. In Mathematics, each correct answer carried two marks.
There was no negative marking in the examination, meaning no marks were deducted for incorrect responses.
While the CET Cell does not prescribe fixed passing marks, candidates from the general category generally need a score of around 90 marks out of 200 to remain competitive for admissions. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories, a score of around 80 marks out of 200 is often considered a reasonable benchmark.
