The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released the official notification for 405 Trade, Technician and Graduate Apprentice posts. The recruitment drive is being conducted by the IOCL Marketing Division, Western Region under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) or National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portals. The online application process has started today, March 11, 2026, and the last date to apply is March 26, 2026 (5 pm).
The apprenticeship opportunities are available across several states in the Western Region, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu.
A total of 405 apprentice posts have been announced for different disciplines. The recruitment includes the following categories:

Candidates must meet the required educational qualifications depending on the discipline they apply for.
The qualification must be obtained from a recognised university or institute through regular full-time mode.
Candidates must be between 18 and 24 years of age as on February 28, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules:

IOCL Apprentice recruitment 2026: Eligibility criteria
Candidates must meet the required educational qualifications depending on the discipline they apply for.
- Technician Apprentice: Candidates should have a three-year full-time diploma in the relevant engineering discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
- Trade Apprentice: Candidates must have Matriculation with a two-year ITI course in the relevant trade recognised by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).
- Graduate Apprentice: Applicants should have a full-time bachelor’s degree in any discipline with the required minimum marks.
- Data Entry Operator: Candidates must have Class 12 qualification, with additional skill certification required for the skilled category.
The qualification must be obtained from a recognised university or institute through regular full-time mode.
IOCL Apprentice recruitment 2026: Age limit
Candidates must be between 18 and 24 years of age as on February 28, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Up to 10 years additional relaxation depending on category.

The selection process will be based on merit.
- There will be no written examination or interview.
- A merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the required educational qualification.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and pre-engagement medical examination.
The apprenticeship training period will be 12 months.
