IB MTS recruitment 2025: The Intelligence Bureau (IB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, is set to close the registration window for the Multi-Tasking Staff (General) recruitment 2025 today, December 14, 2025 (11:59 PM). Candidates who have not yet submitted their applications must complete the process on the official recruitment portal before the deadline to avoid missing out on the opportunity.
The IB aims to fill 362 MTS (General) posts across 37 Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux (SIBs) nationwide. The highest number of vacancies has been notified for the IB headquarters in Delhi, which accounts for over a hundred posts, followed by multiple SIBs across different states and union territories.
To be eligible, applicants must be Indian citizens and should have passed matriculation (Class 10) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. Candidates must also possess a valid domicile certificate of the state or union territory for which they are applying, as on the closing date of the application.
The age limit for IB MTS 2025 is 18 to 25 years as of December 14, 2025, with applicable age relaxations for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
Selection for the IB MTS post follows a two-tier examination process. Tier I is an objective online test that evaluates candidates on general awareness, quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and English language skills. Candidates qualifying Tier I will be shortlisted for Tier II, a descriptive English test designed to assess writing ability, clarity of expression, and language proficiency.
Those clearing Tier II will be called for document verification and medical examination.
