Bangalore University Hosts Agentic AI Saksham Workshop
Go beyond basic usage of AI tools such as browsing and instead use them for research, exploration, and knowledge creation, said Armstrong Pame, Joint Secretary (RUSA), Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Pame was speaking at the inauguration of Agentic AI Saksham Workshop, organised by Bangalore University. “Effective use of AI by students and teachers can lead to meaningful innovations in the future,” he said.
Addressing the inaugural session as Khushboo G Choudhary, principal secretary, department of higher education, highlighted the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence in shaping the future. She emphasised that students and teachers must understand and adopt emerging technologies in this rapidly changing world. She encouraged students not to fear AI, but to use it responsibly and effectively for learning, research, and innovation. Continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies, she noted, will help build confidence and prepare students to face future challenges.
Vice-Chancellor of Bangalore University, Jayakara S M highlighted that AI is creating new opportunities and students must equip themselves with relevant skills to shape their own future.
The workshop provided training in prompt engineering, website development, and system development. Students will also receiving hands-on experience with various AI tools, including NotebookLM, Canvas, Lovable, Google Studio, n8n, and Gamma, enabling them to gain practical skills in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
