AIBE 21 Registration 2026: Correction window opens; check key dates, how to edit application form
The Bar Council of India has opened the correction window for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) application forms, giving candidates a final chance to make changes to their submitted details.
The application date for the exam ended on April 30. Candidates who have already submitted their forms can now review their details and make necessary corrections within the given timeline. The last date to pay the application fee is May 1, 2026.
The AIBE is a mandatory examination for law graduates who want to practise in India. It is conducted by the Bar Council of India, and candidates must be enrolled with a State Bar Council to appear for the exam. Those who qualify are awarded the Certificate of Practice (COP), which allows them to practise law in courts across the country.
BCI has clearly saud that some fields cannot be edited during this correction period once the fee payment is done.
The fields include the registered mobile number, registered email ID, PwD category, caste category, and exam city preference. The council has also clarified that no further changes will be allowed after the correction window closes.
Candidates have been advised to carefully check all details during the correction window, as this is the final opportunity to make changes before the examination process moves ahead.
The exam will cover key law subjects including Constitutional Law, Indian Penal Code and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Criminal Procedure Code and Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, Civil Procedure Code, and Evidence Law along with the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
Other areas include Alternative Dispute Resolution, Family Law, Public Interest Litigation, Administrative Law, Professional Ethics, Company Law, Environmental Law, Cyber Law, Labour Law, Law of Torts, Taxation, Contract Law, Property Law, Negotiable Instruments Act, Land Acquisition, and Intellectual Property Laws.
The paper will consist of 100 questions in total.
