The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill up 1,410 Constable posts in West Bengal Police. The number of Lady Constable vacancies is 256.

WB Police Constable Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
The candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and more than 27 years of age as on January 1, 2022. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to SC, ST, OBC as per the government norms.

Home Guard personnel serving under Kolkata Police are also given relaxation of upper age limit. However, Civic Volunteers serving in Kolkata Police have given no age relaxation.

Educational Qualification
Applicants must have passed Madhyamik (Class 10th) exam from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) or equivalent to that.

Language
The candidate must be able to speak, read and write in Bengali language. This provision won't be applicable to those who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts.
