Annual sports meet showcases student participation, discipline and teamwork
The annual sports meet at Manav Mandir High School, Mumbai was celebrated with enthusiasm and high energy, spread across morning and afternoon sessions. The event was attended by chief guests Sushma S. Jangam, principal of KMSE, and Vishalam Mote, cluster resource coordinator.
Proceedings began with a welcome song by Class V students, followed by cultural performances including songs and dance. The lighting of the sports torch by the four house captains marked the formal opening of the meet, symbolising sportsmanship and unity. The sports captain and student council led the programme, which featured mass drill, aerobics, and gymnastics.
A key highlight was the march past, with participation from pre-school students to senior classes, reflecting strong coordination and discipline. Students from pre-school and Classes I and II presented a thematic performance on traffic rules, while all participants took an oath to uphold the spirit of fair play.
In competitive events, Blue House emerged winners in the morning session, while Red House secured the top position in the afternoon. The meet concluded with the handing over of the school flag to the sports captain, followed by the State Song and the National Anthem.
