India’s longest glass skywalk comes to Vizag

Visakhapatnam, the City of Destiny, is set to unveil India’s longest cantilever glass skywalk — a breathtaking attraction perched 862 feet above ground level.

2/6

Bay of Bengal and city skyline beneath your feet

Visitors will be treated to spectacular panoramic views from the bridge. On one side lies the vast Bay of Bengal, while on the other, the vibrant city of Visakhapatnam and the lush Eastern Ghats unfold below.

55-metre cantilever walk with breathtaking views

The glass skywalk at Kailasagiri Hills holds the record for the longest hanging glass bridge in India with its 55-metre span. This length surpasses Kerala’s famous Vagamon glass bridge, which measures 38 metres.

4/6

Cyclone-resistant, limited entry for visitors

Though the bridge can hold over 100 people, entry will be restricted to 40 visitors at a time. The skywalk is also engineered to withstand winds of up to 250 km/h.

5/6

Built with toughened glass and steel for safety

The bridge is made with three layers of 40-mm thick tempered laminated glass imported from Germany, supported by 40 tonnes of steel. It is designed to carry a load of up to 500 kg per square metre, ensuring durability and strength.

6/6

Bridge to boost Vizag’s tourism appeal

Developed by VMRDA at a cost of Rs 7 crore under PPP mode, the project combines world-class engineering with Vizag’s natural beauty, attracting tourists from across India and beyond.
