India is set to experience above normal rainfall in September, particularly in northwest regions such as Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, leading to possible floods and landslides. The IMD attributes this to low-pressure systems developing over the Bay of Bengal. The monsoon trough will likely maintain its position, bringing significant rainfall across various regions.

However, regions like north Bihar and northeast Uttar Pradesh may receive below normal rainfall.
