‘Govt is friendly towards its employees’

Satyanarayana on Tuesday said that the YSR Congress (YSRC) government has been friendly towards government

employees

and has announced several welfare schemes for them.

Addressing government employees at a programme in Vizianagaram, the minister said that chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has aimed to strengthen the government from the grassroot level and floated the idea of the village secretariat for good governance.

The CM has also proposed to regularise the service of 1.34 lakh employees and

trade union

leaders should not believe rumors that contract and outsourced employees would be sent home. He said the employees’ unions should work in tandem with the government for their benefit.

Vizianagaram district collector M Hari Jawaharlal said government employees are tasked with the responsibility of implementing schemes for the poor and should be free of corruption.
