Free visa-on-arrival till October 31 to attract tourists to Thailand

According to sources, the Thai Air Asia flight, which operates four times a week, has been doing very well in terms of passenger load. The night flight has a load factor of 70-80%, according to sources. Nok Air, a low-cost airline in Thailand, which mostly operates domestic services will also launch its services from the Visakhapatnam international airport to Bangkok’s Don Mueang international airport. Therefore, passengers will be able to fly to Thailand on a daily basis at low costs, sources said.

Member of Andhra Pradesh Air Traveller’s Association (APATA), O Naresh Kumar said, “Direct air connectivity, cheap fares and nominal travel expenditure is what makes Thailand one of the best international destination for the people of Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, shopping, hotel stay and adventure activities can be parataken in at a very low cost when compared to other destinations.”

“Air fares from Visakhapatnam to Thailand are of the same cost as domestic destinations like Mumbai and Delhi. Moreover, they can get more cheaper (Rs 3,000-Rs 4,000 per person) if booked early,” Naresh added.

K Vijay Mohan, member of Airport Advisory Committee said, “It usually costs around Rs 4,400 for a

visa

for one person to Thailand. Low air fares and free visa-on-arrival has facilitated travellers and increased the number of tourists to Thailand.”
