VISAKHAPATNAM: Four

students

from the state scored a perfect 100 NTA (national testing agency) score in the

Joint Entrance Examination

(Main) paper 2 (BArch/BPlanning) results, which were released on Tuesday evening. Interestingly, the AP students — GN Lakshmi Narayana, K Nikhil Ratna, S Riteesh Reddy and G Raghunandan Reddy — are the only four in the country to score the centum.

Speaking to TOI, G Lakhsmi Narayana, who has been announced as the topper from Andhra Pradesh and first ranker in the country, said he wants to make it to IIT Bombay. “I am currently preparing for the

JEE

Advanced,” he said.

K Nikhil Ratna, who got AIR-2, said he has also been considering various options. “I will take a final decision after the JEE Advanced results are out,” said Ratna.

The third rank has been secured by Gudla Raghunandan Reddy (17) from Anantapur district. Reddy is studying in Chaitanya college in Vijayawada. “We are seeking a good institution for him in the future,” Raghunandan’s father Thimma Reddy told TOI.

As per the official statement issued by the National Testing Agency, for the first time, the JEE (Main) examination of paper-2 was conducted two times this year. The first was conducted on January 9 and the second examination on April 7. The ranks of the candidates have been decided taking the better of the two NTA scores of all candidates who appeared in January and April sessions into consideration.

On the other hand, several students of Visakhapatnam got good ranks. Those who got ranks below 100 include Yaswanth Kumar, Sri Devika, Devi Charan and S Chandramouli. Several corporate colleges celebrated the achievement of their students. G Ramalingeswara Rao, dean of Narayana Educational Institutions, said several of their students secured good ranks.
