Andhra University

(AU) vice-chancellor, Prof PVGD Prasad Reddy on Saturday. On the occasion, the faculty members appreciated the steps taken by the vice-chancellor like the introduction of the OMR sheet-based evaluation process.

Following the meeting with the teaching staff, Prof Prasad Reddy said several new systems will be introduced in the examination

over the coming days.

“The recently-introduced OMR sheet-based answer scripts are aimed at automating the evaluation process. Earlier, the scores of a student would have to be entered manually in the computer systems. However, under the new system, marks for every question will be awarded through machine evaluation without any human intervention,” Prof Reddy said.

The vice-chancellor further said that upcoming reforms will be introduced in a phased manner.
