YS Jagan's bus yatra in Rajahmundry witnesses sea of supporters
VIJAYWADA: Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Memantha Siddham bus yatra was marked by significant mass support as it traversed through the Godavari region, covering Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema and East Godavari districts on Thursday.
Stretched across a distance of more than 16 km, the chief minister's roadshow in Rajahmundry kicked off at 5:15 pm and continued for an uninterrupted duration of 4 hours. This is considered to be the biggest ever in the history of Rajahmundry city. As the bus yatra advanced, it created a magnificent spectacle, with a sea of supporters coming out to greet the chief minister at Jonnadu, Pottilanka, Kodiyapulanka, Vemagiri, Morampudi, Thadithota, Church Centre, Devi Chowk, Paper Mill Centre, and Dwancheruvu.
At every halt, with thousands of supporters coming in to meet and extend their support to the chief minister, it has become evident that the Memantha Siddham yatra has gone beyond a mere political campaign. “The yatra transformed into a beacon of hope, and a platform to showcase the public’s resounding support for good governance in Andhra Pradesh,” said MLC and chief minister’s programme coordinator Talasila Raghuram.
The epicentre of this yatra was Ravulapalem, where a huge gathering of locals, proudly displaying the YSRCP flags, flooded the streets. From the elderly to the youth, women to young campaigners, a multitude of faces reflected steadfast support for the chief minister.
Earlier in the day, the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy began his journey from Thetali stay point, where he was greeted by YSRCP leaders from Tanuku, Tadepalligudem, and Achanta. Proceeding towards Tanuku town, he welcomed the entourage with open arms, setting the stage for a roadshow that would leave a lasting imprint on the hearts of people across Eethakota and Gopalapuram villages.
In a heartfelt display of empathy, chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy got off the bus and attended to a 40-year old patient named Rayudu Satthibabu in Madiki village, who had arrived in an ambulance seeking medical attention.
The patient’s family described his nerve-related ailment and how he had suffered a fall. Expressing their concerns about Satthibabu’s ongoing physiotherapy and the financial burden it placed on their family, they requested additional assistance from the chief minister.
Upon hearing their grievance, chief minister assured the patient’s family of providing the necessary medical support. He immediately asked the special secretary (health) Dr M Harikrishna to look into the issue and extend fullest support.
