Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu makes Pawan Kalyan deputy CM, Nara Lokesh gets back IT

VIJAYAWADA: As expected Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday appointed Jana Sena chief and film star Pawan Kalyan as his deputy even as he finalised the portfolios of the NDA govt in the state.



While keeping general administration department (GAD), law & order, public enterprises, and all other portfolios not allocated to any minister with himself, Naidu gave Pawan panchayati raj, rural development & rural water supply, environment & forests, and science & technology.

Vangalapudi Anitha, 40, second-time MLA from Payakaraopet SC reserved constituency, will be home minister. One of the youngest ministers in Naidu 4.0 cabinet, Anitha is known for her fierce attack on political opponents. Nara Lokesh and P Narayana too have got crucial portfolios in the cabinet. Lokesh, who worked as IT and rural development minister earlier, has again got IT and electronics. Additionally, he will handle human resource development and real-time governance portfolios.

Narayana will handle municipal administration and urban development.
