23-year-old Vijayawada woman killed in a road accident in California

VIJAYAWADA: A 23-year-old Vijayawada girl Chunduri Saitejaswi reportedly died in a road accident at Fremont’s Niles district, California State in the United States.

The incident happened on Monday late hours and came to light on Wednesday.

According to the SF Gate reports, Saitejaswi, the victim, was crossing the road when the tragedy struck. The police said at about 8.05 pm, officers responded to a report of a collision near Niles Boulevard and Rock Avenue. In the preliminary investigation, officers determined the victim was crossing westbound Niles Boulevard and was not in the crosswalk.

“Around the same time, two vehicles were approaching on westbound Niles Boulevard. While the first vehicle noticed Saitejaswi and stopped, the second hit her,” SFGate reported.

Police reached the spot and rushed Saitejaswi to a hospital where she died a short while later.

She was the elder daughter of Chunduri Vishnuvardhan and Koteswari, and was a resident of Gunadala in Vijayawada.
