TY B Com student commits suicide

VADODARA: Mystery shrouded the death of a final year TY BCom student in Karelibaug area of the city, till post-mortem examination proved she had committed suicide on Friday morning, police said.
Dipika Brahmbhatt, 22, a final year TY BCom student was found lying on the bed of her house in Anandnagar society of Karelibaug by her sister Payal in the morning. "Payal and her mother rushed Dipika to hospital, where she was declared brought dead," said an official of Karelibaug police station.
"Prima facie it was not clear how she died as she was found lying on the bed with strangulation marks around her neck. However, after a post-mortem and examination of the room, it was found that she had hanged herself from the ceiling hook, which gave way and she fell on the bed. We also recovered the duppata lying next to her," the official said.
According to her family, Dipika killed herself after failing her BCom exams for the second time, the official said.
