Notorious Bichhu gang member arrested

Vadodara: A member of the notorious Bichhu Gang was arrested by the Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) on Friday following a tip-off. The accused, identified as Ashpaq Sheikh (40), a resident of Yakutpura, was apprehended near the railway station.Police said Sheikh had assaulted two men around 12 days ago over an old dispute, injuring one of them with a sharp weapon. A case was registered against him at the City police station, after which he had been on the run.He has a long criminal history, with 26 offences registered against him, including murder, robbery, extortion, criminal intimidation and gambling.
