Guj govt to make four-lane roads to facilitate easy access to the Statue of Unity

VADODARA: To facilitate easy access to tourists to the proposed Statue of Unity, the Gujarat government has decided to widen the road leading to Kevadia. Road and building minister Nitin Patel launched the project during his visit to Dabhoi. The Dabhoi-Kevadia road will be made four lane to ensure that vehicles travel smoothly and reach the Kevadia quickly. The government expects Kevadia to attract large number of tourists once the Statue of Unity is inaugurated.

MP Ramsinh Rathwa and MLA Balkrushna Patel were also present at the event. Patel added that the Dabhoi-Kevadia Road and Ankleshwar-Kevadia Road will be made four lane in phased manner at the cost of Rs 435.74 crore. Tourists coming from central and north parts of the state, Saurashtra and south Gujarat will be able to reach swiftly to Kevadia. Patel said that tourist inflow and road construction will lead to employment in the region.
