Fruit vendor’s daughter clears exam with flying colours

Vadodara: Her father Jasim Pathan moves around the city selling seasonal fruits. She herself has put immense efforts to overcome her family’s financial constraints. Rojifatma Pathan on Wednesday scored 99.86 percentile and that too without attending any coaching or tuition classes. Till class eight, Rojifatma was studying in Vadodara Municipal Corporation run Kavi Sundaram School. But in 2018 she appeared for a scholarship exam in which she topped in Vadodara paving way for further studies. “My school teachers and my relative Palak Patel, who is a management graduate, have helped me throughout my studies,” said Rojifatma, who will pursue BCom and simultaneously study chartered accountancy.
